Letter from Parley CC Chair

I hope you are well and looking forward to another enjoyable season at Parley Cricket Club. Our club has always been built on community spirit, shared effort, and a genuine love of the game. It’s this commitment from our members that has allowed Parley to thrive over the years. However, we now need to reach out to you with an important request.

At present, the club is struggling to attract enough volunteers to cover several essential roles. One of the most urgent vacancies is the position of Club Secretary. This role is central to the smooth running of Parley CC, involving the coordination of meetings, communication with members and leagues, and helping ensure the club meets its administrative responsibilities. It doesn’t require specialist experience - just someone organised, willing to learn, and able to give a little time each week. Full support and guidance will be provided.

Alongside the Secretary role, we also need volunteers for match‑day duties, junior support, fundraising activities, and general club administration. Even small contributions of time can make a meaningful difference. When more people share the load, the club becomes stronger, more resilient, and better able to provide the cricketing experience we all value.

Parley Cricket Club belongs to all of us. Its future depends on the involvement of its members. If you enjoy being part of this club—whether as a player, parent, supporter, or social member—please consider stepping forward to help in any capacity. Your contribution, no matter how modest, will have a real and lasting impact.
